The Highland Liberal Democrats take your individual privacy seriously.  We aim to ensure that this site meets and exceeds all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including the Data Protection Act.

Any personal information collected via the web site will be stored and processed exclusively for the purposes of the Liberal Democrats.

No personal information you provide will be passed on to any third party, unless you sign a petition (in which case information will be passed on solely to the stated addressee) or raise an issue with your local Councillor or MP (in which case information will be shared only with authorised staff and volunteers in our office, and agencies or organisations directly concerned with resolving your problem or answering your query.)

News and information

If you sign up to receive regular news and information by any means, you may opt out of receiving further messages at any time by contacting us.  Personal details which you provide solely for the purpose of receiving news will not be used for any other purpose.

Contacting you

If you provide your personal details for some purpose other than receiving regular news - for example to send us comments or to raise a problem with us - we will use the information provided to contact you only in relation your request. At the same time you may be offered the opportunity to receive regular news and information bulletins, from which you can opt out at any time.

Web site statistics

We use traffic analysis tools to analyse traffic on this web site. These tools display only aggregate data such as the total number of visitors and "hits" each day; we do not track the movement of individual users.
