A strong team, fighting for the Highlands

Liberal Democrats seek Highland views...

Liberal Democrat MPs Danny Alexander (Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey) and Charles Kennedy (Ross, Skye & Lochaber) are extending their Resident's Surveys across their areas.

Your area will shortly be receiving a Survey, the information from which will help both Charles and Danny work more effectively on your behalf.

The Highland Liberal Democrat team works together to provide a strong voice for the Highlands, in Council, at Holyrood and at Westminster.

With Danny Alexander's exciting victory in May 2005, the Lib Dems now hold all three Highland seats at Westminster (UK Parliament), and two seats at Holyrood (Scottish Parliament).  Gordon Brown's Labour Party have no seats in the area at all.  The SNP are a distant third.

The Lib Dem team is committed to working together on the issues that really matter - the need for more affordable housing, a re-invigorated Highland economy, progress on renewable energy and action to protect our unique environment.

Why not take a look at some of the information on this website and see if you would like to get involved?  We are always pleased to meet new people at our regular campaigning and social events.  You can also get in touch with your local representatives and support specific campaigns by signing our petitions.

Latest Petition

Petition: Dear Minister, Before the elections last year, the SNP promised the Inverness by-pass would go ahead before 2012. Since then, the Highland Council has planned for work to begin in 2010, so long as funding is made available. The by-pass is vital to the Highlands - joining the A9, the A96 and the A82, and getting through-traffic our of central Inverness. It will be the first fixed link across the Caledonian Canal. This summer, when you choose your transport spending priorities, please don't let us down!
