President Trump and Gaza

I supported Ed Davey’s boycott of the state banquet for Donald Trump in September 2025, to shine a spotlight on the fact that Trump could end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza now if he chose to. As Ed Davey stated, he took very seriously an invitation from the King and didn’t take the decision to turn it down lightly.

But he felt that boycotting the state banquet was the best way he could send a message that Donald Trump should use his power to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and get the hostages home to their families. If he wanted to, Trump could put real pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu to stop his assault on Gaza City and to end the aid blockade that is causing famine.

He could use his influence over Qatar and other Gulf states to help secure the urgent release of Hamas’s hostages. He has the power to finally force a ceasefire and put Israel and Palestine on the path to a lasting peace, with a two-state solution.

Trump's 20-point Plan
