David Green stood at the Kylesku Bridge

David Green MSP

Standing up for the Far North

Thank you to everyone across Caithness, Sutherland and Ross for placing your trust in me.

This result is deeply humbling, and I am incredibly grateful to my family, friends, volunteers and everyone who supported our campaign.

I pay tribute to Maree Todd for her service and congratulate her on her election as a regional MSP for the Highlands and Islands.

Too many people feel forgotten. They deserve better access to the healthcare services they need, warm and affordable homes, the best possible education for their children, and safer roads. That is what this election was about.

I will work day in and day out to ensure your voices are heard and to deliver the change our communities deserve.

Charles Kennedy and the late Jim Wallace are very much at the forefront of my mind. They were principled, respectful of others, and dedicated above all else to serving their constituents.

They would be proud to see the flame of liberalism burning bright in the Highlands. I dedicate this result to them and commit myself to their approach to politics.

Now, the hard work begins.

Thank you.
