On Wednesday 15th July 2026, I attended a drop-in parliamentary briefing hosted by Na'amod, UK Jews Against Occupation and Apartheid, in relation to recent developments in the occupied West Bank. I heard from members of Na'amod who took part in a solidarity delegation to the occupied West Bank in May 2026; they discussed the current escalation of violence, settlement expansion, and forced displacement in the West Bank, as well as how UK trade with Israel's illegal settlements supports Israel's unlawful occupation and violations of international law.
I will continue to work alongside my Liberal Democrat colleagues, as well as at a cross-party level, to ensure the experiences and knowledges shared by those on-the-ground and at all levels of civic and political society are heard so that we can help end this catastrophe and establish a pathway to just and lasting peace.
