Green: SNP are silent on issues people need them to fix

Scottish Liberal Democrat David Green MSP has today said that the SNP are “silent on the issues Scotland needs them to fix”, following a debate in the Scottish Parliament on the constitution.

Mr Green said the Liberal Democrats would use their position in parliament to get people the healthcare they need, deliver support with the cost of living and get Scottish education back to its best.

David Green said:

“The First Minister went to the country in May and sought a majority to pursue another independence referendum, but the country said no.

“My constituents gave me a mandate to not only oppose a second independence referendum, but to ensure this parliament focuses on the day job.

“That means helping people get a GP appointment at the first time of asking, supporting them with the cost of living and getting Scottish education back to its best.

“Scottish Liberal Democrats will always defend the right of people to shape their own lives, but we will not support the SNP's silence on the issues that the people of Scotland have told us to fix."
