Standing up for Inverness and Nairn
I am absolutely honoured to have been selected as the Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Inverness and Nairn. This is a community I care deeply about and I am determined to give local people the strong voice they deserve. Sport, culture and community have always been at the heart of my life. Whether on the rugby pitch, representing Scotland in Australian Rules Football, or championing grassroots clubs and local causes, I have seen first-hand the power of people coming together to make a difference. My background in leadership and campaigning has shown me how much can be achieved when local voices are heard — from standing up for investment in our roads to pushing for the services our area needs. Too often, decisions made in Edinburgh have left communities across Inverness and Nairn at the back of the queue, with healthcare under strain, roads not fit for purpose, and families and businesses struggling to get the fair deal they deserve. I want to change that. With every ounce of energy I have, I will fight to put Inverness and Nairn first: pressing for investment in healthcare and education, improving infrastructure like the A9 and A96, and ensuring our young people have the opportunities to stay, work and thrive here at home. Politics should be about listening as much as leading, and in the months ahead I will be out in our towns and villages, hearing from people about their hopes and concerns and working to turn them into real action. At the next election, we have the chance to do things differently. With your support, we can build a fairer, stronger and more connected Inverness and Nairn, and I am ready to work tirelessly to make that happen.
